About

Hi,

I’m Mark Emery, a UK based IT consultant / contractor specialising in Network Management.  I’m also a semi-pro photographer.

Back in 2007 I worked in the London offices of a top US Securities Bank. They’d been in the various “Top N companies to work for” lists for good reason.  CNN had this to say about them a few years ago..

“What makes it so great? Healthy workers produce healthier profits at this investment bank, which is on our list for the ninth straight year. An unusually extensive onsite medical center provides consults and case management for employees and their families.”

Why was this relevant? Have a read of my postings under Health.

I’m no longer working for them, instead running my own firm and providing IT services to other clients. I’ve kept this blog online as there are a number of other people out there who’ve also had the misfortune of being told they have Kikuchi-Fujimoto disease. What I went through and recovered from may give them hope..  I know I had wished for a lot more information back in early 2007.

You can tell how little is known even today by the shortness of the Wikipedia page on it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kikuchi_disease

Regards,
Mark
